Chatsworth Cricket club is a family friendly, volunteer led club. We have both a men's mid-week and weekend team plus a ladies team. The teams are made up from estate workers, the local community and other cricketers from the surrounding area.
The matches are played in a friendly but competitive atmosphere by a wide range of abilities and ages. The emphasis is to play the game in the spirit it was intended and to make the day enjoyable for both the cricketers and spectators alike. Usually at the end of each game, both teams end up at the members only Cavendish Club where meals can be provided.
The men's team play virtually every weekend between April and September together with mid-week fixtures during the cricket season. The ladies team play a selection of fixtures throughout the season.
We only play friendly matches but every season is congested with fixtures due to the popularity of the location
If you would like to organise a game with us please contact us
We have a dedicated group of people and players, who give their time, to help run and organise the club from the groundsmen who help to prepare the ground and wicket to the players and partners who provide the teas on match days.
However, we are always looking for people that can contribute to the club. If you would like to get involved with us at Chatsworth Cricket Club - either as scorer, umpire, helper/assistant please do not hesitate to contact us. We would love to have you involved and always offer a warm welcome to anyone visiting the club.
Spectators are always welcome and you can be assured of a friendly reception whether you grab a seat by the Pavilion or on one of the many benches dotted around the outfield. Come along and join us and enjoy watching traditional cricket in a great setting.
We have a proud cricketing history and have been hosts to a wide range of cricketing events in partnership with the Chatsworth estate including testimonials, centennial celebrations, international touring sides, corporate hospitality cricket days and more recently filming for a Channel 4 documentary about Chatsworth.
